Hi! Are you the type of person who gets up in the morning and first thing you do is grab your mobile phone? Or do you walk around the house with your mobile in hand? Well, I realised that I couldn't go anywhere or do anything without my mobile phone. I would spend hours and hours on my mobile scrolling on Tik Tok and Instagram. And that's when I had the brilliant idea of limiting my screen time to one hour a day! Well can you all guess what happened? I failed within three days! So I've decided to ask for your help.

Hey Bessie! I can give you some great advice. You could turn off your phone when one hour passes or tou could ask your parents to put a family link on your phone.
ReplyDeleteBasically, that is an app that your parents can control your daily limit one your phone. You can also add a time limit on apps too. There's a downtime mode too! Your phone will close automatically and you can only call someone from emergency without the usage of any application.
During the time that your time limit is over you could go out for a walk with your friends, bake something, play boardgames with your parents, siblings or friends. You could also exercise or study.
I could help you spend time. For example we could go to the beach, out for a walk, play boardgames or make something like a house out of matches.
Personally, I would talk to my parents about the family link and that would definitely help me reach my goal.

Hello Bessie! I read your blog and I want to help you with it and maybe follow some of my advice if you want. At first it will be very difficult but I know you can do it.Try to do something else like go for a walk, hang out with your friends, start a hobby or even adopt a pet.You might be dying of boredom and get angry, but you should try to do something that makes you clean your mind, like: cooking, sleeping ,drawing, go bowling or even go for a walk ect. For the end just to know that I will support you , I will even come to your house if you want to and I will take you out for a coffee. If this happened to me I would do some of the things I told you above , like going out , cooking sleeping or even start a sport like football, volleyball basketball e.c.t.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing that i do which i think helps very much is to delete the app that i think distracts me the most , u should definitely try that , and see if anything possibly changes then another step that could help u with this kind of problem could be to stop using wifi / internet for a short time and only use ur phone for emergency for example to call ur friend etc. i wont lie i am addicted to my phone to, and these type of methods that ive mentioned really helped me overcome this addiction it can be hard at the beggining but believe in urself im sure if i can overcome it so can u and anyone who suffers from the same problem! ReplyDeleteHi Bessie! To reduce screen time, set a timer, keep your phone in another room, and replace scrolling with hobbies. You might feel bored or tempted, so plan activities and ask friends to remind you. I can check in on you, and joining a challenge could help. I’d reduce screen time slowly and keep my phone away when needed. Stay strong and good luck!
ReplyDeleteHolla Bessie, I once we're in your position and it was very hard to control my screen time. The only solution is to do things that don't require your phone or any electrical device for example I'd go for a walk especially the location where you live it provides an amazing view. Another activity to do is to go somewhere with your husband, you could go eat together or go on a small trip, you will have a great time doing things with someone you love.I hope my advice helped you.

I can understand your problem and how you feel, In my opinion the best thing that you have to do, to limit your screen time is to find a hobby, or to go for a walk and to start gym.But when you feel bored you mustn’t grab your phone to scroll, you must go outside or to meet up with your friends.Personally when I feel bored I go for a walk, and that you must to do too if you want to limit your screen time.

However, I had set a goal to succeed and I went out with friends constantly, I helped my father constantly at work and I played board games with my little brothers and I recommend this to you too
